How your support is used

Region 6 Treasurer
Region 6 uses the donations of meetings and individuals, as well as funds raised by the convention, in several ways to help carry the message of recovery in Overeaters Anonymous.
Is there an opportunity for your intergroup or group to do outreach? A billboard, a bus, a bus stop bench, or displaying at health fair are examples. Region 6 offers financial support in the way of PI Blitz funds to help any of these or similar events.
Is your intergroup interested is funding a representative to attend R6 assembly, but lacks enough funding? R6 offers assembly scholarships for representatives to attend in person (when the assembly is held in person). If the representative is able to attend in person for just on Saturday, a travel scholarship is available.
Have you ever been to WSBC in Albuquerque, NM? R6 maintains a delegate support fund to provide assistance to help delegates from among Region 6 to attend.
Region 6 offers information by ways of the monthly Intergroup Forum, recovery recordings, the monthly Messenger newsletter, and blogs. The board is willing to travel to do workshops on the Steps, Traditions, and Concepts, or any combination. This is offered in person by a member of the board located in the intergroup area, or virtually.
From my point of view as treasurer, it is important that records of donations are accurate and assigned to the intergroup and group affiliated with the donation. There is a contribution form for mail-in donations that requests the information needed. If electronic donations are made, that same information is helpful. The meeting number is not essential, but at least the Day, Time, City, and State is needed.
