What I’ve learned in service to OA

I make a list of all the things I have learned when I near the end of another year in recovery. It seemed fitting to do that list here. I am at the end of my term as Region 6 Treasurer.

  • I have met friends who will meet long after my term has ended.
  • I am capable of learning skills.
  • I can do QuickBooks (accounting software)!!!!!
  • That numbers are right or wrong and math mistakes can be corrected. They don’t mean I’m bad or stupid.
  • That no matter where we are from, we all speak the same language in Overeaters Anonymous.
  • That I will be forever grateful for the trust, love, and confidence you taught me to have in myself.
