Administrateurs élus
En raison de la rotation des services et d'autres facteurs, 10 postes vacants sur 17 des postes existaient au sein du conseil d'administration lorsque les délégués se sont réunis pour la conférence. Six candidats se sont présentés aux élections, et tous ont été élus.
L'un des postes vacants s'est concrétisé parce que Beth B., La Région 6 syndic, reached the end of her term and chose not to seek another. She served 6 années. She was appointed to an open seat, elected to fill the remainder of that term, and then was elected to a full term.
One of the six candidates, Bob F.. of Toronto, had been affirmed as a candidate by the Region 6 Assembly in the fall. He has a long history of service as a trustee, and was already on the board, having been appointed last year; he has been Region 10 liaison. Bob received 165 votes on 179 ballots cast. Until a couple of years ago, one would run for, say, La Région 6 syndic, specifically. There also were general service trustees. Maintenant, all trustees are only trustees, and then are assigned to various jobs, including a liaisons to the 10 Régions.
The chair has made clear that if a trustee is elected after having been affirmed by a region, that trustee will very likely be assigned to that region. Regions that don’t reaffirm a candidate are likely to have a trustee assigned to them who does not live in that region.
