Like any OA event, it doesn’t happen without service. We need volunteers for service in the following areas:
Marathon/Workshop Speakers are needed for the following topics:
- Abstinence
- Step(s)
- Tool(s)
- Tradition(s)
- Relapse/Recovery
- Spirituality
- Physical Recovery
- 100 lb. Emphasis
- Emotional Growth
- Long-timers
- Maintenance
- Anorexia/Bulimia
Marathon/Workshop speakers at OA Region 6 Conventions must be OA members and have a minimum of one (1) year current abstinence. Keeping in mind that this is a program of attraction, workshop and marathon leaders should demonstrate recovery on all three levels: physical, emotional and spiritual, as it applies to Overeaters Anonymous.
Other Service Positions:
The Convention is also looking for people to fill these positions:
- Hospitality/Greeter
- Registration Desk
- Literature Table
- Merchandise Sales/Basket Raffles
- Entertainment/Open-Mic (Friday night)
NO abstinence requirements to help in these areas.
To sign up for Service: You must be registered for the convention to sign up for service. Simply click on the registration page, complete the “service” section on the form along with the other steps for registrering, and mail your form to the address indicated.
A committee member will follow up with you regarding your service prior to convention.
